Yesterday’s rehearsals in Muziekcentrum, De Biljoke were awesome! My thanks to the whole technical team and to Klaas Verpoest for his amazing new video (check out the pictures below) and to Patrick Delges – for the musical and sound support (You’ll have to come to the concert to hear that!)

Today we set up the video screens, projectors, lights, and chairs for Signale zur Invasion & Oktophonie. This picture is is just a tiny glimpse of Klaas Verpoest’s new immersive video created for Stockhausen’s masterpiece. Want to see more?

After a great 8-month run in Berlin playing at Theater des Westens and Disney’s Glöckner von Notre Dame, I – and all that plumbing! – are back home in Belgium for about a month.
While in Antwerp, I will be preparing for the 2nd performance of Stockhausen’s Signale für Invasion at De Bijloke, Muziekcentrum, Ghent. The show is at 9 pm on the 2nd of December. Use the link above to find out all about it and how to get your tickets.

The personal amplifier of our vibraphonist, groovy solo with a siren and a fog horn, my trombone joins the string family – all that and more at tomorrow’s concert in Philharmonie Essen.
Simon Steen-Andersen has won the Kagel Prize and we, Nadar, have been invited to perform a selection of his works at the ceremony.

Tomorrow morning the students of the Sint Agatha Berchem Academy of Music and the Nadar Summer Academy present the popular yearly Sunday Morning Concert at Transit Festival in STUK (in Leuven).
We will present Michael Maierhof’s awesome piece for 4 cellos and 4 double basses – Minus 2 along with works by Jennifer Walshe, Jasper & Jasper and Eveline Vervliet.
The concert is at 11:30 am in the Ensemblezaal. Tickets are free and more info via this link.

After nearly a year’s worth of hard work, Sunday is the day. I finally get to perform Stockhausen’smonumental solo trombone piece “Signale zur Invasion” & “Oktophonie”. The project is a co-production of Muziekcentrum De Bijloke, Gent, Centre Henri Pousseur & Ictus Ensemble.
The concert, apart of the Festival Images Sonores ,will also include other works by Stockhausen and played by the amazing musicians of Ictus.

I had a great week working on Signale zur Invasion from Karlheinz Stockhausen in the studios of Centre Henri Pousseur. Thank you for all your help with this great piece!
