Tomorrow evening, Nadar Ensemble will perform as a guest at the Musikhochschüle Stuttgart as part of Martin Schüttler’s ‘ANTRITTSKONZERT’. Martin curated the concert himself with 3 of his own compositions, 2 new videos, and also a film by Cheryl Donegan – ‘Flushing.’

On a personal note, this is the first time I have had the joy of conducting a piece by him and we, as an ensemble, are joined by the great soprano Christie Finn.

Nadar Ensemble is proud to announce that the University of Leuven has selected us as this year’s winner of their prestigious Prize for Culture.

Next week, Nadar Ensemble will presents its annual Sint-Niklaas concert on the 23rd of April at 8 pm in the CC Sint-Niklaas.  As the subject implies, we will play Romitelli’s ‘Professor Bad Trip’ alongside ‘Point Ones’ by Alexander Schubert, Locked-In by Helmut Oehring, and Stefan Van Eycken’s ‘Hibernaculum.’

If you are in town, this will definitely be a chance to see a great and unusually intimate Nadar concert.

This past week, I had the great fortune and opportunity to work with and conduct Ictus Ensemble and Christie Finn (soprano) at their headquarters in Brussels. What an ensemble! We will perform Christopher Trapani’s intriguing and very personal piece ‘Waterlines’ (2012) at the Opera Lille, the Saturday the 11th of April as part of that venue’s Happy Days series.

Nadar Ensemble will be appearing in the HAU2 in Berlin as part of the MaerzMusik (Berliner Festspiele) Festival this Thursday and Friday the 26th and 27th of March, 2015. We are very excited to be able to perform Hannes Seidl’s and Daniel Kötter’s video theater piece once again.
